The SMD-155 satellite modem developed by CDOT is designed to operate at high rate of 155.52Mbps to meet the requirements of SDH transport over satellite. SMD-155 uses latest FEC code – TPC, to get maximum power efficiency using the minimum possible transponder bandwidth. Standard G.703 electrical interface for STM1 data is provided.
