The Broadband Transport via Satellite (BBTS) Equipment provides a point-to-point STM1 link between two earth stations. It is used in the Regenerator Section of the SDH link and all functionalities of Regenerative Section Termination (RST) are provided. The BBTS equipment operates in Ku Band and the occupied bandwidth of a single carrier fits into a 72MHz Ku Band transponder.
