	Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools for Hardware and ASIC Design Case Tools for development and testing of software Captive Labs Computing Center Pilot Production Plant
	Labs (Hardware and software tools) The Centre has a state-of-the-art development environment comprising client/server network of RISC workstations, latest software development tools and very mature and effective development and support methodologies. Extensive use is made of CASE tools, object-oriented methodologies, software matrices etc. C-DOT has a well equipped hardware development facility. The CAD facilities are one of the best in the country enabling development of multilayer, high frequency (upto 622 Mbps) boards based on surface mounted technology (SMT). The centre also has ASIC designing facilities with the latest hardware platform and software tools. Complex ASICs in 0.35m , 3.3v CMOS with 100KB RAM and a gate count exceeding 450k have been designed. The labs have the latest test and measurement   instruments, microprocessor development systems and prototyping facilities.
